Ekzole 40 MG Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used in the treatment of stomach ulcers, Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) and other acidity related disorders. It decreases the acid produced in the stomach and also helps in the healing of ulcers.
What is it prescribed for?
- Erosive Esophagitis
This medicine is used for the treatment in the healing of Erosive Esophagitis (inflammation and swelling of the lining of the esophagus) caused due to an excess amount of acid secretion.
- Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease
This medicine is used in the treatment of reflux disease, where acid from the stomach enters and irritates the food pipe (esophagus).
- Helicobacter pylori Infection
This medicine is used in combination with other medicines to treat and prevent the return of stomach ulcers caused due to Helicobacter Pylori bacteria.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
This medicine is used to treat a condition where an excessive amount of acid is produced in the stomach due to tumors in the small intestine.
- NSAID-Induced Gastric Ulcer
This medicine is used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers associated with the use of Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
